More than just a statement: Picnic Time’s commitment to sustainability

This Earth Day, you may be hearing a lot about what some companies are doing for the environment - but, let’s be real, a lot of that is just hot air. Which, coincidentally, is kind of the planet’s problem too. 

At Picnic Time, as usual, we’re doing things a little bit differently. Our goal is to be consistently transparent and honest about where we are in the process of becoming truly sustainable - because that helps us continue moving forward in our goals. If we are all making consistent progress year over year, we’re making real progress toward sustainability.

To that end, we’ve committed to using renewable materials for our products, encouraging re-use with our designs, electing for reduced-waste shipping, and lots of renovations at our SoCal HQ to reduce our carbon footprint. You can read more about our journey to sustainable sustainability here.

We even got a few Picnic Time volunteers to form the Green Beans, who meet regularly to review the overarching sustainability mission, brainstorm methods to achieve our goals across departments, and implement actions that get us there. Got any ideas for our Green Beans? Send them here!
