    Job Description: Responsible for purchasing goods, services, and supplies. Sources vendors and negotiates best prices, service, and terms on behalf of the company.

     

    Responsibilities include: 

    • Placing purchase orders
    • Tracking open orders and monitor factory production schedules to ensure on-time delivery
    • Estimate cash flow requirements
    • Ensure all import documents are accurate received and processed on time
    • Schedule deliveries to warehouses
    • Source new vendors for domestic and imported goods
    • Negotiate best possible pricing for goods, services and supplies
    • Check invoices for accuracy prior to payment
    • Ensure credits for defective goods/chargebacks are applied to open invoices
    • Assign and enter new item numbers and UPC codes
    • Maintain accuracy of item and vendor information in Great Plains/SalesPad
    • Ensure routing instructions for direct import orders are followed
    • Other duties concerning warehouse operations as assigned

     

     

    Specific Skills Required: Minimum 5 years as a buyer or purchasing agent, BA/BS in related field, experience with Microsoft Great Plains/SalesPad and highly proficient with Excel.

     

    Reports : To General Manager and Director of Operations. Works closely with Inventory Planner and Controller.

    Location: Moorpark, CA 93021

    Hours: 7:30AM-4PM Monday-Friday (or 8:30AM – 5PM)

    Salary: Negotiable (submit salary history and requirements)

    Employee Type: Full time, hourly, non-exempt for overtime

  • Trade Show Coordinator

    Job Description: Coordinate all company trade shows and events including corporate travel and marketing tasks relating to company events under the direction of the Director of Sales and Marketing (DSM)

     

    Responsibilities include:

     

    • Assist in planning, booking and scheduling of trade shows, sales meetings, events and all corporate travel.
    • Maintain expense records for trade show related budget items.
    • Assist Marketing Manager with trade show related marketing tasks and lead retrieval
    • Maintain company event calendar.
    • Perform other sales and marketing tasks as required by DSM.

     

    Specific Skills Required:

     

    Solid intermediate level Excel skills required. ( VLookup, pivot tables, formatting, etc.)

    Must thrive in a team environment.

    Excellent interpersonal skills; in person, via email and on the phone.

    Problem solver (handle logistical issues concerning shipping/travel).

    Highly organized.

    Excellent written and oral communication skills.

    3 + years previous experience as a trade show coordinator, project planner, or executive assistant in a sales environment.

  • Key Accounts Manager

    Job Description: Developing new business by analyzing account potential; initiating, developing, and closing sales; recommending new products, programs and sales strategies.

     

    Channels: Grocery, drug accounts and distributors, Mass market in Mid-West and East Coast, National Disney Key Accounts, Home Depot and Lowes and other accounts as assigned.

     

    Responsibilities include: 

     

    • Identifies development potential in accounts by studying current business; interviewing key customer personnel and company personnel who have worked with customer; identifying and evaluating additional needs; analyzing opportunities.
    • Initiates sales process by building relationships; qualifying potential; scheduling appointments.
    • Develops sales by making initial presentation; explaining product and service enhancements and additions; introducing new products and services.
    • Closes sales by overcoming objections; preparing contracts, estimates and presentations.
    • Contributes information to sales strategies by evaluating current product results; identifying needs to be filled; monitoring competitive products; analyzing and relaying customer reactions.
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
    • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
    • Management and training of regional independent representatives.
    • Attend trade shows, sales appointments, conventions and events nationwide.

    Specific Skills Required:

    Meeting Sales Goals, Negotiation, Selling to Customer Needs, Motivation for Sales, Sales Planning, Building Relationships,  Managing Processes, Market Knowledge, Developing Budgets, Prospecting Skills, Initiative, Customer Focus, Emphasizing Excellence.

    Ability to set up/tear down shelving and merchandise displays at tradeshows. This also requires lifting boxes up to 40 lbs, bending and reaching. Ability to stand for 6-8 hours per day while attending trade shows. Travel by plane, car, bus, and rail as needed.

    Education and Experience Required:

    10+ years of B2B sales experience in consumer products industry, preferably in the grocery, drug and mass market channels.

    Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing

    Travel Required:

    60-70% travel required nationwide.
